Our client, Freisenbruch Insurance Services Ltd. (FIS), a local Bermudian company providing insurance, pension and broking services to both the domestic and international marketplace, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to join the P&C team. Reporting to the Senior Underwriter & Team Leader, the Technical Assistant will provide technical and administrative support to the P&C team while working alongside other departments and assisting Underwriters with the day-to-day aspects of maintaining, expanding, and servicing accounts. Key Duties and Responsibilities include processing monthly renewals, calling assigned clients to confirm policy renewals, managing installment payments, reviewing internet payments, issuing Statements of Accounts, managing account receivables, assisting with Certificate issuance, and providing support to local banking institutions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to pass the Bermuda Insurance Institute (B.I.I) Certificate in General Insurance or equivalent, previous work experience in customer service with a minimum of one year in a professional service firm or corporate environment, basic knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance, working knowledge of underwriting procedures, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & Outlook), excellent analytical and communication skills, ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently or in a team.
