The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is seeking the services of a skilled and capable individual to work as a Senior Analyst in our Supervision (Insurance, Funds and Corporate Authorisations) Department. Reporting to the Principal, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for performing management reviews of a compliance nature, statutory return analysis, solvency capital evaluation and monitoring of selected businesses and reporting findings and recommendations to the Principal for discussion and development of an action plan.This is a key role for the Authority and the postholder will be responsible for but not limited to: Undertaking analysis of a portfolio of registered captive insurers regulated in accordance with the Insurance Act 1978 utilising various risk assessment methodologies to evaluate compliance with existing laws, regulations, policies, plans and procedures and/ or identifying risk issues and formulating reports on findings for submission and discussion with management. Developing agendas and schedules and attending prudential meetings with financial entities to discuss findings of reviews, minute discussions/decisions and developing corrective action plans as appropriate. Undertaking projects relating to the Departments' supervisory and regulatory responsibilities, as requested. Monitoring the market with a specific focus on developments in the insurance industry (local and international), regulatory bodies/ regimes, accounting standards, as well as market information on insurance companies via monitoring of key indicators, newspapers, periodicals, media and relevant websites. Monitoring identified high-risk licensees with compliance issues by reviewing memoranda and timely direct follow-up with company representatives. Reviewing applications in accordance with existing legislation and department procedures. Performing other related work and special projects as assigned by management in accordance with competencies normally associated with the post.The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is the integrated regulator of Bermuda's financial services sector. Requirements

This position requires the following skills, abilities and interests:A Bachelor's degree in business or insurance-related field and/or equivalent qualifications in insurance, finance, or accounting from a recognised institution or professional body. A minimum of five (5) years of graduate experience in the insurance, financial services industry and/or working experience with a financial regulatory body. Experience with the Electronic Statutory Financial Return (E-SFR) system would be beneficial. Experience in the evaluation of corporate governance structures, risk management frameworks and/or internal controls would be beneficial
