Reporting to the Head of Casualty, the Senior Underwriter - Motor is responsible for underwriting and developing Motor reinsurance business, providing senior underwriting judgement and contributing to the performance and strategic development of the portfolio. The role combines significant Motor market and technical expertise with established broker relationships and business origination capability, while contributing to pricing and exposure management approaches and supporting delivery of the Casualty business plan.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience. Professional industry qualification (ARe, CPCU or ACII) preferred. Actuarial qualification preferred. Minimum of ten years' related UK and EMEA Motor underwriting and management experience. Strong knowledge of UK and EMEA Motor insurance and reinsurance markets. Demonstrated senior underwriting capability. Strong understanding of actuarial pricing methodologies. Proven ability to originate and develop UK and EMEA Motor business opportunities. Strong understanding of Motor portfolio performance. Strong knowledge of reinsurance workflows. Strong analytical capability and commercial judgement.
