Our client, Eight Roads, is a global proprietary investment firm backed by Fidelity International with offices in Bermuda, UK, Hong Kong, China, India and Japan. Eight Roads is a fast paced, dynamic organisation where individuals are expected to think on their feet, go the extra mile and take ownership and accountability for delivering on their tasks and objectives. The Eight Roads Finance and Operations team performs the accounting and fund administration for over 20 separate venture capital funds. They are also responsible for the accounting and governance of a number of corporate investment related entities based in Bermuda. Key responsibilities include serving as a Board Director, supporting regional fund accounting teams, oversight of shareholder transaction accounting, project management, and ensuring appropriate investment transaction processing and cash management.

Requirements

An ACA, CPA, CA or equivalent accounting designation with at least 7 years post PQ experience. Experience of governance or oversight roles for an investment business. Practical experience with investment companies, complex partnership structures and consolidations preferably within US GAAP. Experience of managing complex fund accounting systems. Experience of preparation of financial statements, preferably under US GAAP. Experience of understanding and interpreting legal agreements. Experience with investment performance calculation and presentation, including attribution analysis is desirable. Experience in an international multi-currency environment.
