Our client, Cedar Trace Advisers Limited, is looking for a Senior Underwriter, Property & Specialty who will support the development and ongoing management of a substantial, globally focused property and specialty treaty portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting profitable business across a range of specialty lines, contributing to portfolio strategy, and ensuring underwriting decisions align with the Company's risk appetite, return thresholds, and capital framework. Key responsibilities include underwriting and managing a portfolio of Property and Specialty reinsurance business, evaluating and pricing risks, performing detailed statistical and catastrophe modelling analyses, structuring innovative reinsurance solutions, and building relationships with brokers and clients. The role involves extensive travel to conduct business with worldwide-based clients and brokers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in reinsurance industry, underwriting and/or pricing, with strong exposure to Property catastrophe and/or Specialty treaty lines. Proven track record in underwriting and portfolio management across global markets. Strong knowledge of Property reinsurance products and structures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Python, SQL, VBA, or R preferred. Availability and readiness for extensive travel is required.
