Bermuda and/or qualified commonwealth lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualifying experience in a debt finance team at a reputable law firm and/or in-house. Excellent academics with top level experience obtained in Bermuda or internationally. Motivated and commercially driven with proven experience of acting on large/complex cross-border financing deals and/or securitisation transactions. Prior experience of supervising/mentoring junior lawyers or trainees and handling the day-to-day aspects of finance and debt capital markets transactions. Solid legal skills with understanding of relevant markets and client industries. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding time management and organisational skills. The ability to work successfully in a collaborative environment - a team player, willing to support others. The ability to use legal precedents effectively and timekeeping and billing systems. The ability to support efforts to attract new clients and develop new business initiatives.
