The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is seeking the services of a skilled and capable individual to work as a Technical Business Analyst in our Supervision (Insurance, Funds and Corporate Authorisations) Department. Reporting to the Insurance Innovation Specialist, the Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining digital tools that support the Authority's supervisory functions. This position is suitable either for a professional developer interested in gaining knowledge about insurance supervision and regulatory frameworks, while excelling in a solution-oriented, execution-focused environment or a citizen developer with experience in using Microsoft Power Platform to describe functionality in business terms, evaluate current supervisory workflows, lead the modelling and continuous engineering of supervisory processes and develop and implement Supervisory Technology (SupTech).

Requirements

A master's degree or equivalent qualification in finance, actuarial science, computer science, information systems engineering or a related technical field from a recognised institution or professional body; A minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience, of which at least three (3) years should be at a senior level in software development, automation or process engineering; Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint and scripting languages (i.e., PowerShell, JavaScript) and familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Git, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps; Demonstrated experience in designing, building and deploying solutions using low-code/no-code tools such as Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, etc.
