• A bachelor's degree in business and/or an equivalent qualification in finance or accounting from a recognised institution or professional body
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA, TEP or FRM) would be a distinct advantage
• A minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in the financial services industry, financial regulatory body and/or an accounting firm
• Quantitative experience with strong analytical skills to effectively identify risks and risk trends
• Experience conducting or participating in on-site reviews
• A strong track record of taking a positive, solutions-focused attitude towards complex problem-solving and exercising risk-based judgement
• The ability to deliver effective outcome-focused actions in an environment where priorities may change at short notice
• A high degree of personal commitment and the ability to work well as a member of a team and under pressure
• Confidence in conducting and speaking at meetings
• Strong oral and written communication skills, in particular, the ability to produce reports and business correspondence with a high level of accuracy within tight deadlines
• Proven experience in the evaluation of corporate governance structures, risk management frameworks and internal controls
• Working knowledge of computerised systems and databases, particularly the Microsoft Suite of products
