Reporting to the Financial Stability Advisor, Head of Research, the Assistant Director will be responsible for undertaking and overseeing macroprudential policy and systemic risk analysis projects. Key responsibilities include designing surveillance frameworks for the insurance sector, monitoring macroeconomic trends, overseeing regulatory tools, engaging with industry stakeholders, and coordinating with international regulatory bodies. The role involves leading internal projects, providing subject matter expertise, and managing/mentoring a team to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

A Master's degree or equivalent qualification in finance, actuarial science, statistics, mathematics and/or related discipline (Doctoral level degree is an asset). Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience, with at least five (5) years at a senior level leading a team in financial services or with a regulator. Strong knowledge of the global insurance market and systemic risk issues. Experience in development and implementation of macroprudential tools. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
