The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is seeking the services of a skilled and capable individual to work as an Assistant Director in our Supervision (Insurance, Funds and Corporate Authorisations) Department. Reporting to a Deputy Director, the Assistant Director will be responsible for directing and managing teams and individuals to meet the objectives and goals of the Insurance Department through effective plans and schedules that support the strategic plan and overall objectives of the BMA. Additionally, the Assistant Director will be accountable for demonstrating effective leadership qualities and communication/relationship skills, which provide the basis for quality service and performance of duties.

Requirements

A master's degree or equivalent designation in insurance, finance or accounting from a recognised institution or professional body (e.g. CPA, CA, CPCU, CFA, etc.). A minimum of ten (10) years of experience, of which at least five (5) years should be at a senior level in the financial services business and/or working experience with a financial regulatory body.
