The Community Psychiatric Nurse is responsible for providing training and purposeful activities that meet the needs of people with learning disabilities who currently use the services provided at Mid Atlantic Wellness Institute. Key responsibilities include developing meaningful activities, liaising with community learning disability team members, encouraging person-centered care, acting as a case manager, providing skill training and job coaching, assisting with staff orientation, arranging appointments for Service Users, ordering and administering medication, and collaborating to develop new policies and procedures.

Requirements

Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Certificate in Community Learning Disability Nursing or equivalent preferred, Certification in CPR, Code Management, and NCI, Three years of experience working in a community mental health setting, Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council, Valid car driver's license
