Talcott Financial Group is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Accounting Manager who will be responsible for the accounting, reporting and analysis of our entities in both Bermuda and Cayman. Responsibilities include leading quarter-end close accounting and reporting on US GAAP and Statutory basis, reviewing monthly and quarterly journal entries for reinsurance transactions, producing timely and accurate financial results, and coordinating information for BSCR and Cayman reporting. The role involves interacting with senior management, auditors, and reinsurance partners, and maintaining internal controls.

Requirements

An internationally recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., US CPA or equivalent) with a minimum of 8 years professional accounting experience within insurance or financial services; strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and US STAT for reinsurance companies required; practical experience compiling and reviewing statutory and economic balance sheet reporting under Bermuda Regulatory frameworks; experience with accounting for complex reinsurance transactions; management experience required; ability to work overtime when required.
