Our client, Soteria Reinsurance Ltd. (Soteria Re), is seeking an Actuary. Based in Bermuda, this role is a key member of the actuarial team, reporting to the Valuation Actuary. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining actuarial models supporting the liability valuation and reserving under the Bermuda EBS framework and US GAAP, as well as contributing to the overall valuation reporting process. Responsibilities include supporting end-to-end EBS and US GAAP valuation processes, assisting in design and governance of valuation processes, providing support for Investment, Risk, and ALM functions, and supporting the financial planning process.
Requirements
7+ years of life and annuity insurance and/or reinsurance experience; FSA or ASA designation required; Familiar with US life and annuity product designs and features; Experience with MG-ALFA or other actuarial modeling platforms (e.g., AXIS, Prophet); Strong understanding of life insurance valuation and capital frameworks (Bermuda solvency experience preferred).
