The VP, Corporate Development is an experienced technical contributor who plays a key role in the origination, evaluation, due diligence, and execution of M&A and reinsurance transactions, with a specific focus on the Asia region, while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support Fortitude Re's growth objectives. Duties include establishing relationships with potential clients, managing deal processes across Finance, Actuarial, Tax, and Legal, evaluating target companies, participating in negotiations, and preparing board materials.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in insurance M&A and/or reinsurance transactions; Qualified Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or Institute of Actuaries or career ASA; Strong background in Life and Annuity M&A; Understanding of relevant capital regimes (U.S., Japan, Bermuda); Fluency in Japanese is a significant plus; Strong organizational and communication skills.
