Acumen Management Ltd. is seeking a Senior (Re)insurance Consultant to advise on property reinsurance underwriting, work with investors, develop business opportunities, and manage portfolios. Responsibilities include advising on underwriting of new and renewal Property Reinsurance and Insurance Program business, analysis of underwriting processes, and development of pricing tools. The role involves liaising with cat modeling, claims, finance, and other client functions.

Requirements

At least 8 years experience in property reinsurance with at least 2 years underwriting. Preference for multi-market experience. Bachelor's degree in a numerate subject; advanced degree and/or professional designation preferred. ACII or equivalent underwriting qualification. Strong preference for reinsurance and retrocession structural knowledge. Familiarity with traditional and non-traditional reinsurance products. Strong analytical ability, interpersonal and client management skills. Strong proficiency in SQL required; knowledge of MATLAB, R or similar languages favourable. Detailed knowledge of RMS and AIR cat modeling software. Prepared to work long hours including Bermuda public holidays.
