The Compliance Manager is responsible for the design, implementation and day-to-day operation of the compliance framework across Davies Captive Management Ltd. in Bermuda, Guernsey, North America and other relevant jurisdictions. The role oversees core compliance activity, financial crime controls, KYC and client due diligence, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including those of the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) and Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC). Key responsibilities include managing the compliance framework, providing practical advice to leadership, managing BMA and GFSC compliance, leading client onboarding, delivering compliance monitoring, and preparing reports for boards and senior management.

Requirements

A minimum of five years' experience in compliance, financial crime, risk, governance or legal roles within insurance, captive management, insurance management or the broader financial services sector is essential. Knowledge of Bermuda regulatory expectations (BMA, AML/ATF, KYC). Awareness of Guernsey regulatory requirements. Strong experience in client onboarding, periodic reviews, and enhanced due diligence. Ability to provide pragmatic advice in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
