From Kindergarten through Grade 10 we deliver the BC Curriculum, with Grade 11 launching in September 2026, complemented by Advanced Placement (AP) courses in the senior years, ensuring rigorous preparation for post-secondary success. The successful candidate will teach Spanish in the Primary School, working with students from Junior Kindergarten through to Upper Primary Grades, with a focus on developing communicative competence and fostering a strong appreciation of language and culture in a supportive, inclusive learning environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities include teaching Spanish across Primary School levels, designing group and project-based learning instruction, integrating information technology to enhance language learning, participating in extracurricular activities, and implementing the new Modern Foreign Language curriculum.
Requirements
A recognized graduate qualification at the university level, with appropriate academic credentials, a minimum of three years’ teaching experience, licensure with or eligibility for licensure by the Bermuda Educators Council, understanding of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language or American Council of the Teaching of Foreign Languages standards, familiarity with international language proficiency exams and certifications like DELE is an asset, strong understanding of teaching strategies, professional collaboration and communication skills, ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, commitment to student safeguarding and wellbeing, and relevant student safety certifications required.
