As a member of the Performing Arts team, the successful candidate will be a qualified music teacher experienced in teaching woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments to students in Middle and Senior School levels. The role includes teaching band classes, delivering one-to-one instrumental lessons, and leading large and small ensembles. Requirements
A recognised graduate qualification at the university level, with appropriate academic credentials in Music or Music Éducation A minimum of three years' teaching experience at the Middle and/or Senior School level Licensure with, or eligibility for licensure by, the Bermuda Educators Council Demonstrated expertise in teaching woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments Strong ensemble leadership skills, including experience directing bands and instrumental groups A reflective, lifelong learner committed to professional growth and continuous improvement Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work positively with students, colleagues, and parents Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Strategic Priorities of Saltus Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, diplomacy, and tact Commitment to student safeguarding, wellbeing, and child protection best practices Relevant student safety certifications (e.g., SCARS, First Aid/CPR/AED) are preferred or must be obtained A clean criminal recordSalary
