The Senior Analyst will work alongside property reinsurance underwriters as an integral part of the underwriting process. Responsible for analysis and underwriting recommendations of assumed risks, systems and model development, product support and portfolio analytics. Responsibilities include technical analysis and risk modelling, providing underwriting support and recommendations for assumed primary and facultative property reinsurance, supporting internal and third-party catastrophe models, and supporting enhancements and development of internal risk and underwriting systems.

Requirements

Excellent mathematical, statistical and problem-solving skills along with superior data management skills. 2+ years of work experience preferred with experience at a re/insurer, reinsurance broker or financial services company a plus. A university degree with an emphasis on science, engineering, economics, mathematical and statistical techniques or similar. Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills. Advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL and / or Catastrophe vendor models a plus.
