Reporting to the General Manager and Chief Executive this position is responsible for the financial operations of the Club including the preparation and presentation of all financial reports to the General Manager and Business Unit Managers, Finance Committee and Board of Directors, the annual audit, budgets (operating, golf tournament and CAPEX), cash flow forecasts, payroll, statistical reporting for multiple business units and all aspects of membership billings and related correspondence. The Finance Manager is also responsible for the ongoing management of the Club management system, online room and dining reservation system and point of sale system (POS). This will also include upgrades and ongoing development of the system along with training of the accounting, food & beverage, golf and front desk staff. The Finance Manager assists the General Manager and other management team members with ad hoc projects.

Requirements

Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA or Chartered Accountant) with a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience (hospitality business preferred); Good people management skills; a team player with excellent written and oral communication skills; Excellent knowledge of, and proficiency in using, the Microsoft office suite of products; Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy; A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the NorthStar accounting software and Great Plains would be an asset; Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and work to deadlines, willingness and availability to work overtime as required; Demonstrated ability to use initiative, self-manage, and work effectively in a small team environment.
