Our client Mailboxes is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function during a pivotal period of growth. Our client is seeking a proactive, commercially focused finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise in a hands-on position and the ability to shape the future finance infrastructure of a growing business and progress towards broader strategic leadership responsibilities. The candidate will have experience building and improving finance functions, leading change initiatives and working within growing businesses where the ability to operate independently and influence stakeholders is critical. Key responsibilities include full ownership of accounting, financial reporting and financial controls across Bermuda and US entities, leading the redesign and alignment of the chart of accounts, managing relationships with external auditors, and leading finance initiatives including ERP and systems integration projects.

Requirements

CA, ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; Minimum of 12 years post-qualification experience; Proven experience in a Financial Controller role or equivalent with the proven ability to lead a finance team with full ownership of accounting, financial reporting and financial controls across multiple entities; Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise with US GAAP experience; Demonstrated experience leading external audits; Experience leading finance transformation, ERP implementation, automation or business systems projects; Advanced Excel and highly developed financial modelling and analytical skills.
