The Department of Education is seeking to recruit Substitutes for the Academic School Year 2026-2027. Substitutes are recruited to provide coverage for absences within schools in the Bermuda Public School System (Pre-School, Primary, Middle, Senior Levels, Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy, All Subjects). Seeking individuals dedicated to providing varied and high-quality instruction that is culturally relevant and empowers students.

Requirements

Certified Teachers: Minimum Bachelor's degree, teacher certification, registered with The Bermuda Educators Council, current SCARS certificate. Uncertified Teachers: First degree with strong knowledge in a subject area, commitment to student learning, current SCARS certificate. Para-Educators/Educational Therapist Assistants: Minimum Associates Degree, registered with The Bermuda Educators Council, current SCARS certificate.
