The Office Of Youth Affairs is hiring a

Programme Worker

Deadline: 12 months

Job Type: Contract

1. Manages a group to ensure the effective delivery of all recreation and sports programs. Plans and develops the activities in conjunction with the site Supervisor. 2. Works with the group of 12-15 children to ensure equal participation in all fun, sport, and learning activities 3. Develops and maintains a positive rapport with parents. Informs parents of challenges and successes of children under the worker’s care 4. Maintains strict adherence to all P&P’s at all times. 5. Ensures purchase requests are made to the site supervisor within the outlined timelines. 6. Ensures equipment such as walkie-talkies, etc, are cared for and stored properly after each use. 7. Works with children to motivate performance during but not limited to – Badminton program, walking club, sports for all activities.

Requirements

Minimum age 18 years. Be a self-starter and perform job with little to no supervision. Punctuality and reliability. Capable of working in a dynamic and flexible environment with minimum supervision. Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Possess basic knowledge and understanding of school age children. CPR, Scars and First Aid Certification Required.
