We are seeking a qualified Senior Civil/Commercial and Criminal Litigation Attorney who is energetic and motivated, self-starter for our Civil and Criminal Litigation Departments. Responsibilities include providing advice to local and international clients with respects to civil, criminal, employment, commercial litigation matters and Regulatory Compliance; effectively working with a broad client base; preparing for and conducting interlocutory hearings, trials and appeals in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal; liaising with client, counsel, the Magistrates' Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, other legal practitioners and staff.
Requirements
Must be admitted as a Barrister and Attorney in the Supreme Court of Bermuda. A minimum of ten (10) years' post qualification experience in all aspects of civil, criminal and commercial litigation in Magistrate's Court and Supreme Court. Effectively draft pleadings, affidavits/witness statements, skeleton arguments and manage all aspects of document preparation related to criminal, civil/commercial matters in preparation for trial and appeals to the Court of Appeal. Extensive experience with judicial review proceedings. Record of productivity and ability to meet targets.
