This position will report to the Division President, Chubb Tempest Re – Bermuda. Responsibilities include marketing and underwriting U.S. Property Catastrophe business, specializing on large account business including aggregate covers and Workers compensation catastrophe covers; quoting, negotiating, and executing contract terms with brokers and clients; performing pricing analysis including oversight of broker data requests; participating in meetings with brokers and clients regarding reinsurance placements; reviewing slips and wordings; assisting in exposure aggregation management; and participating in the development of internal tools and processes.

Requirements

At least 15 years underwriting or broking experience in the insurance/reinsurance market. Relevant experience in marketing insurance/reinsurance business, developing relationships with key brokers and clients, negotiating directly with brokers, and pricing/quoting U.S. Property Catastrophe Reinsurance Business. Experience in International Property Catastrophe business is an asset. Strong analytical skills, working knowledge of probabilistic catastrophe models, and excellent communication skills are required. Numerate Degree required and progress towards ARe/CPCU strongly preferred. Commitment to work long hours including weekends and bank holidays if required.
