Liberty Mutual Reinsurance is part of Global Risk Solutions and the broader Liberty Mutual Insurance Group. The US Property Catastrophe Excess of Loss Underwriter will report to the Head of Reinsurance (Bermuda) and will contribute to the underwriting and management of a portfolio focused exclusively on US Treaty Property Cat XoL business from Bermuda. Key responsibilities include underwriting new and renewal treaty submissions, assessing pricing adequacy, reviewing catastrophe model output, and building relationships with brokers and cedants.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years' experience in Property Treaty reinsurance underwriting; demonstrable exposure to US Property Catastrophe Excess of Loss business; understanding of US natural catastrophe risk; technical understanding of Cat XoL treaty structures; ability to interpret catastrophe modelling output; fluent English; professional qualifications such as CPCU or ARe are desirable.
