On behalf of our client, The BEST Group - a group of Bermudian companies providing services in the fleet, freight, logistics, shipping, trucking, and warehousing industries - we are looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to join the Finance team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks such as preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, processing and maintaining accounting transactions, assisting with month-end and year-end financial close processes, performing balance sheet reconciliations, processing vendor invoices, supporting payroll accounting and compliance, maintaining fixed asset registers, and investigating accounting discrepancies.

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, DEXT, ERP systems, payroll systems, and online banking platforms. Experience in preparing management accounts, financial statements, and account reconciliations is essential. Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles, general ledger management, payroll accounting, and financial controls. A professional finance designation (CPA, CFA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) would be an advantage.
