Reporting to the Deputy Director - Enforcement, the incumbent will be responsible for performing a range of legal and technical enforcement activities, including applying advanced analytical skills and providing legal advice regarding matters of regulatory misconduct, drafting legal documents, and representing the Authority in hearings/appeals, etc. as necessary. Key responsibilities include providing legal advice on compliance and enforcement functions, assisting with financial crime functions (AML/ATF), coordinating litigation activities, investigating regulatory breaches, and managing senior-level staff.

Requirements

An accredited law degree and admission as a barrister or solicitor in Bermuda or another Commonwealth jurisdiction. Minimum of ten (10) years post-qualification experience, with at least six (6) years in commercial litigation and financial services law. Proven knowledge of Bermuda's insolvency and restructuring law, administrative law, financial services law and relevant AML/ATF legislation. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
