The Bermuda School of Music invites applications from suitably qualified teachers to fill the following position. Candidates will hold a degree in Music (cello) and have 5 years postgraduate teaching experience. Suzuki teacher applicants must have a minimum of Books 1 - 4 Suzuki Cello Teacher Training Certification and the Suzuki Comprehensive Audition video. Applicants must have experience with group classes, chamber music and experience working with all ages, including adults and young children. The ability to conduct chamber music and other ensembles is preferred. Piano proficiency and experience teaching violin would be welcome assets. Applicants must also be able to take advanced students through all levels of international music examinations (ABRSM and RCM). Teachers are expected to perform at faculty concerts and community events.
