Our client, Arch Reinsurance Ltd. (Bermuda) provides specialty property, casualty and life reinsurance products through reinsurance intermediaries worldwide. These programs range from Property Catastrophe and Property Excess of Loss reinsurance to Professional Liability and Marine Treaties. Arch Re's Bermuda-based operation has a strong, proven management team, a commitment to underwriting discipline, and financial strength that is rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best and A+ by S&P.The Head of Casualty will be responsible for developing and maintaining a significant and diversified treaty portfolio in respect of multi-line products which will include Casualty and Specialty lines of business. These products will be offered on a worldwide basis with a focus on North America, Europe, Middle East and Australasia. The individual will report directly to the President of Arch Re Ltd. and will assist in coordinating all stages of the underwriting process.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Minimum of 10 years' underwriting experience including, treaty underwriting, primary insurance underwriting. Experience in pricing Casualty deals is essential. In-depth knowledge and experience of US casualty underwriting. A proven track record and excellent current contacts with both brokers and clients worldwide. Proven success in managing a team. Must be willing and able to travel extensively, work overtime and be able to conduct business with worldwide based reinsurers/brokers.
