The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is seeking the services of a skilled and capable individual to work as an Associate Specialist – Investments, Liabilities and Research in our Supervision (Insurance, Funds and Corporate Authorisations) Department. Reporting to the Senior Specialist, the Associate Specialist – Investments, Liabilities and Research will be responsible for developing deep analytical capability while applying that analysis in a supervisory context, supporting anticipatory supervision and proportional, informed supervisory judgement. Key responsibilities include Investment and Liability Analysis, Modelling and Analytical Support, Regulatory Data and Filing Analysis, Research and Market Intelligence, Supervisory Engagement and Collaboration, and Continuous Improvement and Capability Building.

Requirements

A master's degree in finance, economics, actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, investments or a related quantitative discipline with progress toward a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CERA, actuarial designation or similar) or a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, actuarial science, statistic, mathematics, investments or a related quantitative discipline together with a relevant professional qualification. A minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience in insurance supervision/regulation, investments, ALM, liability analysis, capital analysis, or financial modelling. Experience with insurers, asset managers, or regulatory bodies is an advantage.
