The Science Education Coordinator plays a key role in delivering marine science education experiences for local and international students. Working collaboratively with ASU BIOS scientists, educators, captains, teaching assistants, and operations staff, the Coordinator delivers immersive educational experiences that connect participants with active scientific research, Bermuda's unique marine environment, and ASU BIOS's mission of advancing ocean and atmospheric science. This is a highly active, student-facing position requiring flexibility, enthusiasm, and confidence working outdoors in varying weather conditions, aboard small boats, in laboratory settings, and in the water.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in science or science education; Experience teaching or facilitating learning at the university, secondary, or informal science education level; 2+ years of prior experience leading educational groups; 2+ years of prior experience leading outdoor education; Swimming and snorkel competency; First Aid and CPR certified; Ability to communicate scientific research and educate all age groups (from age 6 to 100).
