Bermuda International Institute of Ophthalmology is currently seeking an Ophthalmic Surgical Technician to assist our surgeons with operations in our facility. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, is competent assisting in minor ops procedures and assisting in ophthalmic surgery. You will be tasked with preparing and sterilizing the operating rooms and all equipment before procedures begin as well as perform diagnostic tests - OCT, Biometry, Fundus Photography, Applanation Tonometry, visual fields. The fast-paced environment requires a dynamic personality with strong emphasis working as a resourceful and competent team member with ability to work in all aspects of the clinic.

Requirements

Proven work experience as an Ophthalmic Surgical Technician or similar role; Experience with instrumentation in the operating room; Strong understanding of surgical technology and surgical procedure; Knowledge of Ophthalmic/medical terminology; A Minimum of 8 years' experience; Passionate about patient care; Certifications in Ophthalmic Assistance/Eye Care (COA, COT or Similar)
