The Medical Technologist for Island Health Services Limited (IHSL) will be responsible for performing pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytic phases of laboratory testing procedures from waived to moderate complexity testing. The individual must be committed to maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, providing accurate and timely results, and following exactly all aspects of testing policies and procedures. This position reports to the Laboratory Manager.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree - Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology or equivalent with one year of clinical training. Minimum of three years of laboratory experience with two of those years as a Generalist. Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience. ASCP, AAB, AIMS, or equivalent board certification. Must be registered with the Bermuda Health Council as an MT (Medical Technologist). CPR trained.
