Arch Reinsurance Ltd. (Bermuda) provides specialty property, casualty and life reinsurance products through reinsurance intermediaries worldwide. These programs range from Property Catastrophe and Property Excess of Loss reinsurance to Professional Liability and Marine Treaties. Our Bermuda based operation has a strong, proven management team, a commitment to underwriting discipline, and financial strength that is rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best and A+ by S&P. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Product to establish and lead our product discipline. This role is pivotal in transforming our company for the future. We need someone to kickstart product development, ensuring product alignment with our strategic goals, and driving measurable business outcomes. This role will start very hands on while we bootstrap product development, solving immediate business needs while building a strategy for the long term. The ideal candidate will be someone with a real passion for innovation, someone that simply does not accept status quo, a change agent not afraid to tackle huge challenges that others will have failed attempting to. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Product Strategy Development: • Define and implement a product vision and strategy that aligns with our business objectives. • Identify opportunities and customer needs to inform product development. • Develop excellent communication structures with stakeholders providing clear communication. Invest in understanding reinsurance and the wider business landscape. KPI-Driven Approach: • Establish and monitor KPIs that link product performance to business success. Establish and execute an effective framework for prioritizing work to drive desired results. • Drive a culture of accountability and results-oriented thinking within the product team. Product Function Development: • Create a high-performing product team that has great product development practices. • Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team. Cross-Functional Leadership: • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, project management, and the SLT to ensure product alignment and progress. Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging innovation and creativity. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 8 years of technology product development experience of which at least 4 years building Al/ML products, platforms and solutions. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics or a related field, Demonstrated senior leadership experience in Product with global organizations and teams. Proven track record in product management fundamentals. • Experience in establishing product disciplines and driving product strategy. • Prior experience in developing complex software products is essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. • Process orientation; ability to develop repeatable processes or improve existing processes in and out of product development.

Requirements

Minimum 8 years of technology product development experience of which at least 4 years building Al/ML products, platforms and solutions. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics or a related field, Demonstrated senior leadership experience in Product with global organizations and teams. Proven track record in product management fundamentals.
