Details Management Ltd., on behalf of our client, Ardonagh Specialty Holdings (Bermuda) Limited., is requesting applications for the position of SVP, Head of Casualty. The SVP, Head of Casualty will manage and direct the Casualty Division to achieve strategic, financial, and compliance objectives, while retaining and developing talent within the team. The role is responsible for providing, maintaining, and developing both new and existing business opportunities, leading client relationships at the most senior levels, and raising the industry profile of the Division and the Company. Provide leadership to the Casualty Division, directing operations to achieve both short and long-term objectives and optimize the use of resources. Serve as a member of the Executive Committee, working with the CEO to recommend and agree divisional strategy, plans, and budgets. Develop and foster senior-level client relationships to attract new business and retain existing clients. Initiate and lead collaborative work with other divisions to deliver joint marketing strategies, cross-selling opportunities, and business growth. Actively market insurance and reinsurance solutions to new and existing clients, ensuring that income and profitability targets are achieved or exceeded. Monitor and evaluate divisional performance against strategy and objectives, reporting on key operational issues and results. Maintain compliance with BMA, FSA, and all relevant regulatory and company requirements, including Errors & Omissions (E&O) compliance procedures. Provide proactive service and technical advice to clients, ensuring that their insurance needs are fully understood and addressed. Develop marketing materials and industry updates for new and existing clients and markets. Represent the Company with clients, insurers, intermediaries, regulators, and other stakeholders, promoting the Company's brand and values. Drive performance management within the Division, ensuring recruitment, professional development, and supervision of employees, and resolving underperformance effectively. Conduct mid-year and year-end performance reviews for direct reports. Prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, maintaining sound systems of internal control and ensuring effective governance. Bachelors Degree ACII or equivalent professional qualification. Minimum of 10 years' experience in insurance/reinsurance brokerage, including at least 5 years in a senior management role. Proven track record of managing and growing a profitable casualty business. Extensive client and market network, with a respected reputation within the industry. Strong leadership, people management, and talent development skills. Advanced negotiation, influencing, presentation, and communication skills. Thorough understanding of casualty insurance broking, legal principles, compliance requirements, and international market dynamics. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated proficiency in business planning, budgeting, marketing, and financial management. Collaborative and team-oriented approach. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proactive and solutions-driven.
