Assistant General Manager (agm)

As the Assistant General Manager, you will serve as the second-in-command to the General Manager and play a pivotal role in transforming the organization into a highly functional, efficient, and member-centric Credit Union. This is a handson leadership role where you will balance strategic collaboration with operational execution, collaborating across departments to implement improvements, address challenges, and drive results. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations, including Loans, Treasury & Member Care department, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with the General Manager and Board to identify and address critical operational gaps and implement improvements. Lead efforts to streamline manual processes and assist with the introduction of technology-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Work closely with department heads to ensure seamless service delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the General Manager on strategic initiatives, contributing to long-term planning and organizational development. Assist and oversee change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions for new processes, technologies, and organizational shifts. Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures to align with best practices and industry standards. Mentor and support team members to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and member-first service. What We're Looking for: A minimum of 10 years' working experience in a key management position in the financial services industry with a comparable level of responsibilities. A master's degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field (MBA or similar advanced degree preferred) or equivalent experience. Proven experience in operational leadership, preferably in the financial services sector. A strategic thinker with the ability to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to drive change. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire.

Requirements
