We are seeking a qualified, self-motivated Baker who will be responsible for product development and the creation of recipes in a busy seven-day week operation. Reporting to the Bakery Manager, essential job functions include: preparing items and monitoring production, inspecting quality, receiving and storing bakery products, loading/unloading ovens, taking special orders, wrapping and pricing goods, maintaining a clean kitchen, and operating machinery.

Requirements

Valid trade qualification required; Minimum of five years' experience in a similar capacity; Fully conversant with a scratch bakery program; Ability to work under own initiative; Recent exposure to a variety of pastry styles and cake decorating; Knowledge of food preparation, presentation techniques and quality standards; Creative and energetic with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Available to work split-shifts, weekends, public holidays.
