The Garden Market Ltd. requires an energetic and self-motivated Assistant Store Manager to work as part of our dynamic team. The successful applicant will assist the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability. The incumbent will be expected to promote excellent customer service and ensure a positive image with fellow team members and our customers. This position reports directly to the Store Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining a professional image, supervising and training employees, delegating tasks, scheduling, inventory management, merchandising, and ensuring health and safety standards.

Requirements

At least three (3) years of retail management experience in a leadership capacity (Department Manager, Assistant Department Manager, Assistant Store Manager), preferably in a grocery store environment. Proven ability to balance registers and count high volumes of cash/transactions. Strong people management and leadership skills. Ability to deescalate situations. Excellent communication skills. General computer knowledge. Ability to work a variety of opening or closing shifts, 5 days a week (including Saturdays).
