Two years’ experience as a Sommelier in a Michelin-starred or fine dining restaurant, upscale wine bar or winery (or similar establishment). An international sommelier diploma, such as WSET Level 4 Diploma or CMS (or equivalent) is preferred. Proven ability to showcase expertise in wine and wine pairings. Extensive knowledge of wines, grape varieties, vintages, wine regions and production methods, as well as other beverages such as spirits, beer and non-alcoholic drinks. Experience conducting wine tastings; experience in providing frequent wine training for staff; and strong perceptive, gustatory and olfactory abilities. Customer service orientated and a team player. Impeccable hygiene standards with experience complying with strict Public Health and Food Safety Policies. Demonstrable attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and composure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent English verbal and written skills. Punctual, reliable, and an excellent work ethic, with ability to consistently work weekends and holidays.
