MarketPlace Ltd is seeking a highly motivated leader to oversee all merchandising and purchasing for assigned categories to attain sales targets and profit objectives for the group of stores. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Retail Operations will review and control all budget spending, set inventory controls, monitor labour efficiency, execute merchandising standards, maintain clean and fresh company standards, follow all health and safety guidelines, and ensure customer service excellence is delivered in the retail stores. Duties include but are not limited to: managing P&L metrics, multi-retail unit responsibilities (Grocery, Dollar stores, Sears, Central Warehouse), pricing and costing policies, supervising and coaching staff, and ensuring facilities maintenance.

Requirements

Must have a minimum of five years’ experience as a Vice President or Director of Retail Operations or a similar role. Extensive knowledge of P&L metrics and financial results. Strong supervisory skills. Proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Accounting and math skills for sales transactions, invoices, gross margins, and budgets. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
