Insight Comprehensive Eye Care is seeking a highly organized, professional, and patient-focused Patient Services Coordinator to join its comprehensive Ophthalmology practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a seamless patient experience from initial contact and appointment scheduling through registration, billing, follow-up, and ongoing communication. The role involves serving as a primary point of contact for patients, coordinating appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgical bookings, managing check-in and check-out, and providing clear information regarding services, fees, preparation, and follow-up care. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate patient records, verifying insurance and referrals, processing payments and invoices, assisting with claims and billing, and coordinating communication between patients, physicians, clinical staff, and external healthcare providers.

Requirements

A diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification in healthcare administration, medical office administration, business administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a medical, healthcare, or patient-facing administrative environment preferred. Familiarity with healthcare billing, insurance claims, EMR or practice management systems, and ophthalmic terminology is an asset. Strong communication, organizational, computer, and problem-solving skills are essential.
