Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe patient care and maintaining operational aspects of outpatient care in collaboration with other service areas. Key responsibilities include: Ensuring compliance with clinical and operational policies, procedures, and processes for staff providing patient care in the Community; Supervise staff, including conducting performance appraisals as required; Assist with the development of performance improvement plans for the area, including the utilization of appropriate metrics to identify and improve performance gaps in the area; Apply progressive discipline to achieve constructive improvement as appropriate; Review time and attendance. Adjust staff allocation according to patient needs; Collaborate with other Supervisors and Managers to resolve issues that cross departmental lines and perform the duties of a Mental Welfare Officer; Review occurrences/near miss reports and resolve contributing problems as appropriate; Assumes acting responsibilities for administrative coverage for Manager; Assist with budget and labour costs for assigned area; Provide direct and indirect patient care along with administrative duties.
