The VP Corporate Controller supports the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in assuming full responsibility for the accounting functions of the organization, overseeing financial operations, managing staff, and ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements and reporting into the CFO. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities, capable of analyzing complex financial data and implementing effective financial controls to support the company’s growth and stability. Key responsibilities include leading financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS, overseeing budgeting and cash flow, managing risk mitigation strategies, and mentoring a high-performing finance team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification; Minimum of 6+ years post-qualification experience, including 3+ years as an Assistant Controller or similar leadership role; Previous experience working in an asset management firm and/or enterprise risk management experience particularly in the reinsurance/transportation industries; Strong demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and enterprise risk management; Proven ability to manage financial operations in a dynamic environment; Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
