Our client, Sompo is seeking an experience VP, Sompo Pro Segment Leader. This role reports to SVP, Head of Financial lines, Bermuda and is responsible for assisting in the strategy, development, underwriting and maintenance of the company's Professional Indemnity Liability business segment, with a primary focus on Cyber, Lawyers and E&O business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage a portfolio of Cyber, Lawyers and E&O liability clients • Develop and enhance relationships with brokers and clients to identify and establish new distribution relationships • Underwrite, price and negotiate accounts in line with the company's strategy and risk appetite • Coordinate all stages of the underwriting process such as marketing, risk analysis, contract negotiation and contract maintenance • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the analysis and evaluation of risks • Identify and drive new product development opportunities, including working proactively with other underwriting teams to identify and capitalize on cross sell opportunities Assist in monitoring portfolio growth and profitably Assist in the training and development of underwriting and technical staff • Coordinate legal and actuarial resources where appropriate across the portfolio Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • At least 8 years professional lines insurance experience • Strong analytical skills with proven track record of underwriting Cyber and E&O risks Demonstrable experience developing new business University degree, with specialization in Business, Finance or Economics preferred Robust experience with contract wordings and endorsements Knowledge of standard primary and excess Financial Lines policy forms • Established and significant relationships with U.S. and Bermuda Financial Lines producers and customers • Proven ability to effectively interact, communicate and negotiate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners Deep understanding of U.S. and Bermuda Financial Lines markets and protocols • Demonstrated people and process management skills • Ability to travel.
