The Finance Manager will be a key member of the management team of Essent Re and will support the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements for presentation to the Board of Directors and Senior Management. Duties also include strategic planning, preparing budgets and forecasts, cash management, financial modeling, analyzing and reviewing contracts and business support. The Finance Manager will implement and maintain key required financial controls and procedure and will actively supervise the insurance manager and other third parties, including investment support entities.

Requirements

An internationally recognized accounting designation such as ACA, CA, CPA, ACCA etc. A Bachelors Degree (re/insurance related qualifications or designations would be deemed advantageous). Extensive reinsurance accounting experience, including demonstrable hands-on experience with journal preparation, posting and review. Experience working in international reinsurance markets including Lloyd's of London. Proven knowledge of working with Sarbanes Oxley. Proficiency with reinsurance and accounting applications such as Phinsys, Sun, Oracle, or Workiva. Understanding of credit and mortgage insurance products would be an advantage. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
