QBE's Bermuda Casualty book is focused on excess, large corporate risks in a global market. It's a technically strong, disciplined underwriting environment where you'll analyse complex programmes, work closely with brokers, and contribute to building a growing portfolio. As a Senior Underwriter within the team, you'll stay close to market developments and new product introductions, while also supporting the development of others through coaching and mentoring. Your role involves underwriting insurance risks in accordance with the Business Plan, building strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. US travel will be required.

Requirements

A minimum of 7 years' proven experience in Casualty underwriting in the Bermuda market. An understanding of profit drivers and strategic decision-making. Proficiency in Excel and underwriting tools. Ability to influence others and negotiate effectively. Sound commercial judgement, analytical capability and risk awareness. Credibility with senior executives, Boards and regulators. A relevant professional qualification / designation or University degree.
