These roles will support the continued development of the Bermuda finance function, with responsibility for high-quality financial reporting, reinsurance accounting, regulatory filings, management information and internal controls. Working closely with finance, executive leadership, outsourced service providers and wider business stakeholders, the successful candidates will contribute to accurate and timely reporting under UK and US GAAP, support BMA statutory requirements and play an important role in strengthening the financial control environment of Starr's Bermuda operations. Primary Responsibilities include preparation of financial statements, monthly and quarterly management accounts, BMA statutory filings, and overseeing accounts payable.

Requirements

Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent). Experience of accounting for reinsurance contracts under UK GAAP and US GAAP. Minimum of 2-3 years post qualification experience (Accountant) or 3-4 years (Senior Accountant) gained in an insurance/reinsurance environment. Ability and willingness to work extended working hours including weekends and public holidays as needed.
