Bermuda Skyport Corporation Limited ('Skyport'), the operator of the L.F. Wade International Airport and developer of its new, award-winning, and state-of-the-art passenger terminal, is seeking an energetic professional to join our dynamic team as Head of Aviation Security. Reporting to the Director, Airport Operations, the Head of Aviation Security is accountable for security at L.F. Wade International Airport in line with OTARs 178, 179 and 180 and the Civil Airports Act 1949. Key Responsibilities: Lead the airport security programme, including security plans, SOPs, the Restricted Area Pass system and General Security Awareness Training; Manage security contractors for passenger and baggage screening and airside/landside patrols; Oversee quality control, audits and security investigations against ASSI/OTAR, ICAO and US TSA standards; Oversee security technology, including access control, CCTV, thermal surveillance and perimeter systems; Lead the security elements of the Airport Emergency Programme; Act as senior security advisor to the President and Government of Bermuda.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in airport, airline, police or civil aviation security, including at least 2 years at a senior supervisory level; Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Aviation or Airport Management, or a related field; Strong working knowledge of the Civil Airports Act 1949, ASSI/OTARs and ICAO/US TSA requirements; Ability to obtain and maintain ASSI security certification and an AVOP; ICAO and US TSA certification desirable; Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; Availability for 24/7 call-out for emergency and security incidents.
