Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and management of the Finance and Currency Operations Department, ensuring alignment with the strategic and corporate objectives of the Authority. The postholder will be expected to provide effective team-orientated leadership, efficient resource management, quality service delivery and an operational environment committed to integrity and excellence. Key responsibilities include contributing to BMA strategy, providing a sound financial management framework, leading financial planning and reporting, overseeing contract management, advising on currency legislation, and managing currency and vault operations.

Requirements

A Master's degree or an equivalent qualification in a financial or accounting discipline from a recognised institution or professional body (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA, CGMA). A minimum of twelve (12) years' relevant experience, of which at least seven (7) years should be at a senior level in the financial services business, and/or working experience with a financial regulatory body. Demonstrated experience leading organisational transformation, change management or business process improvement initiatives. Experience operating as a member of a senior management team. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Familiarity with currency issuance, circulation management, and related legislative frameworks. Knowledge of business continuity, operational resilience, and crisis management practices.
